Bengaluru FC is a professional football club based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Founded in 2013, the club quickly rose to prominence in Indian football with its strong management, passionate fan base, and competitive performances. The team plays its home matches at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium.
Nicknamed “The Blues,” Bengaluru FC has achieved major success, including winning the I-League (2014, 2016), the Indian Super League (2019), and multiple Federation Cup and Durand Cup titles. The club is known for developing young Indian talent and maintaining high professional standards.
Bengaluru FC also made history by becoming the first Indian club to reach the AFC Cup Final in 2016, bringing international recognition to Indian football. The club remains one of the most respected and successful teams in the country.

2013 – Club Formation

20 July 2013: Bengaluru FC was officially founded by JSW Sports.

22 September 2013: Played their first competitive match in the I-League.

2013–14 – Historic Debut

Won the I-League title in their first season, becoming the first club to win the league in its debut year.

Forward Sunil Chhetri finished as the league’s joint top scorer.
